My grandfather had worked since he was an adolescent in a coal mine in South Dakota. Just like his father and grandfather, he followed in the tradition and continued on as a coal miner. It was not diagnosed with my great grandfather or my great great grandfather, but my grandfather was diagnosed with Mesothelioma cancer from the asbestos he was exposed to for so many years. Even the second hand asbestos that he was exposed to from his grandfather and father contributed to his cancer.
