The World Series is a championship series of Major League Baseball played between the winners National League and the American League in October. Since it is played in mid-autumn, it has been dubbed “The Fall Classic”. The World Series is determined through a series of best-of-seven playoffs. The Saint Louis Cardinals are the reigning 2007 World Series Champions. They have won ten championships, the most of any National League team.
