Why does it always seem like when you are looking for a pen, there are none to be found? Every drawer is open and searched, and the pens just seem to have disappeared. Is somebody assigned the task to hide all of the pens? Do they find great humor thinking of the franticness that happens when the phone rings and a pen or some type of writing utensil is needed to write down a phone number or message? Thus the frantic search for a pen starts as the person on the other line is waiting.
