When our daughter was in the hospital for surgery, a good friend of mine gave her a necklace. This special piece of religious jewelry was very dear to my friend. It was a charm with the picture of Mary. The necklace had been blessed with Holy water from her recent trip abroad. We kept the necklace hanging on our daughter’s crib in the Intensive Care Unit until she was discharged. Along with our prayers and care from the doctors, the special necklace helped our daughter recover successfully from surgery.
