A pedestal sink is a nice change for a bathroom that has the standard bathroom sink vanity with the built in cabinet. When you are thinking of changing your bathroom vanities, this is a change that can be easily accomplished. You do have to give up storage space that is offered by the cabinet, but in turn you receive a very modern and sleek look. A pedestal sink can also offer a small bathroom to appear larger.
