I grew up on an agrictultural farm. The sink that was in our kitchen was typical of the farmhouse sinks that my agricultural friends had. The sinks were made of a very durable material. Usually stainless steel was the material of choice. The sinks were also very deep. This made it convenient to wash vegetables and fruits that we had just picked from the garden. Dinner time also created a mountain of dishes to be clean. The deep sinks were perfect for this.
