A really cool television show is called Intervention on the A&E Channel. Intervention deals with people that are addicted to drugs and/or alcohol. A crew goes to the persons home and tapes the addicted person and their family and friends. It shows how being addicted not only affects the addicted person themselves, but also their family, friends, coworkers, and neighbors. The crew sets up an intervention with the addicted person, their family and friends, and a professional counselor. The addicted person is then hopefully swayed to attend some drug treatment centers. All during the show they give updates on how everybody is doing from early childhood and hopefully how rehab has helped them.
