Mesothelioma is a form of lung cancer that is not associated with smoking or second hand smoke at all. Mesothelioma is associated with exposure of asbestos. The majority of people that develop mesothelioma have worked on jobs where they have inhaled asbestos particles. The asbestos particles can be inhaled off of someones clothes that were exposed to the asbestos. It would be like getting cancer from second hand smoke, but this is second hand asbestos exposure.
